Moose International Convention
7/24/2024  - 7/27/2024

Greetings Brother’s and Sister's,

We recently returned from the Moose International Convention in New Orleans. It was a great learning experience. I attended as many sessions (classes) as I could fit into my schedule and gained a lot of knowledge. Karen and I would take different training subjects so we could get as much information as possible. I met and talked with Moose Members from all over the country and Canada too!

Our fraternity is over 900,000 strong. There's a new membership goal to reach 1 million members in the next year. With everyone signing on at least one member this year, we can reach that goal.

Our lodge received the Premier Award this last year. As a matter of fact, every lodge in District 12 received the Premier Award. Congratulations to the other 6 Florida lodges as well.

We are off to a good start in having another successful year. The hard work of WOTM, the Moose Legion and our Committees all play a part. The work of the Heart of the Community and Membership committees have a lot of responsibility in meeting the requirements and these committee chairs and members are working hard to do their part in reaching our goal of the Premier Award.

It was amazing to find out how strong our very own state is in this fraternity we outnumbered every state in attendance. Loud cheers were heard every time a lodge in our state was recognized! Moose Proud!

My biggest take away was how much I didn’t know  ( but I am learning) and how much responsibility I have as your president. It is my goal to keep our Lodge running smooth, getting past the bumps in the road and making our lodge the best it can be by working with our many great members and volunteers.

Sincerely,
Your President
Casey Hightower
